Business Problem & Solution
The problem Group & Corporate / MICE Bookings solves in the hospitality ecosystem and how this downscaled demo proves it.
← Group & Corporate / MICE BookingsThe bookings that skip the funnel
A large share of hotel revenue never touches the consumer booking funnel: corporate room blocks, conferences, weddings, and meetings/incentives/conferences/events (MICE). These come in as enquiries (RFPs), get negotiated against a corporate rate and an event space, and only become bookings after a back-and-forth that a search box can't model. A platform that ignores them ignores its highest-value demand.
Group & Corporate / MICE Bookings is the sales desk for that demand. It runs an RFP pipeline, drafts a quote over a room block + event space + negotiated rate, sends it, and — on confirmation — creates a group booking, an invoice, and a corporate account, mirroring the booking into the shared core so the rest of the cluster sees it.
What this demo proves — and what it simplifies
It proves group demand lands in the same shared truth as everything else: a confirmed group booking is mirrored into the shared booking table, so it appears in the cockpit #20 (source 'group') and on the PMS #30 board exactly like a direct booking. The pricing math — BAR × rooms × nights × negotiated discount, plus event-space day rate and tax — is live and transparent.
It simplifies the quote intelligence and the send. The 'AI-assist' quote draft is a deterministic template composer, not a metered LLM (it records a $0 trace labelled deterministic). The quote email is a simulated send into the host's sent viewer. Both are labelled, on the surface and in the Architecture doc.
Reality contract
Synthetic only — seeded RFPs (companies, contacts, room/night counts, attendees, event types), four event-space templates per property as available, and corporate accounts with negotiated %, contracted room-nights and YTD spend. All deterministic (fixed-seed). Figures are representative and labelled; no real brands, customers, or PII.
